This is a story I wrote in 2007, between August and November. It started as an experiment in dialog, but my loving wife fell in love with the characters and the idea, and it sort of blossomed from there. Now, it’s a full-blown novel; this is the first draft. It has since been edited a great deal, and when the edits are complete I’ll be taking this down to do query letters (gulp!) to agents and editors.
The idea for laying out the story this way was my wife’s, too, but the initial idea to help readers find all the pieces belongs to Bryce Beattie over at StoryHack.com
